The most common form of worship is by sacrifices. Usually, this is in the form of food or valuables burned in a sacrificial bowl of sorts. It is said the smoke delivers it to the gods.

Quick note, but all deities will have different opinions from different cultures and societies. Some deity might be praised for saving X city, but might be despised for cursing X city. On the same vein, a deity has many different facets and aspects, and different aspects could be focused on by different organizations, temples or cultures.
